Tapes & Stripping

We can use just about any open or closed-cell material you can imagine.  Foam rubber tapes are used for weather stripping, dust seals, water seals, light seals and so much more. From 1/64” to more than 2” in thickness, we can put peel-and-stick adhesive backing on any of our hundreds of available materials.

• FOAM TAPES: we offer a closed cell neoprene blended sponge in 1/32” – 2” thick. This material can be custom cut to fit your specific needs and dimensions. This material has been used in door seals, underlayment, HVAC ducting, and many other applications
• RUBBER TAPES: From 40 to 90 durometer, we can take any of our rubber materials and make custom-slit tapes for your sealing application. We offer custom tapes and rolls of stripping from neoprene, EPDM, nitrile, Viton™, silicone, butyl, natural gum rubber and more.
• HIGH-BOND TAPES: We offer custom rolls of tapes, individually suited to your application – including 3M™ VHB™ Tape Products. These tapes are ideal for a mechanical, vehicle, high-temperature, and any other application where a permanent, high-bond requirement is needed.
• PTFE TAPES & JOINT SEALANTS:  Offering tremendous thermal and chemical resistance, expanded PTFE tapes and joint sealants are used in essentially every industry. The high pliability of expanded PTFE makes it ideal for uneven or irregular sealing faces. Expanded PTFE meets FDA requirements and handles 0-14 pH, and short-term max temperatures up to 600F. This material is available in many thicknesses and widths and can be found in heat exchangers, pumps, ducts, and anywhere else you may need a seal in a tough environment. Expanded PTFE is also available in sheet form for gaskets.
• HIGH-HEAT & FIBERGLASS TAPES: Blaylock offers an extensive assortment of fiberglass, colorized fiberglass, drop-warp, tadpole, alumina, silica, and ceramic fiber tapes. In fact, some of our tapes can tackle temperatures in excess of 2000F. Ask about our collection of high-heat woven textiles for your specific application. We also offer silicone and silicone sponge stripping.
• FDA & BBQ: We offer a wide assortment of food-grade tapes with and without adhesives. We also offer high-temperature materials for ovens and gasketing for smokers and BBQ pits.
• CUSTOM SLITTING: Our state-of-the-art, single-roll slitting machine allows us to cut and create rolls of material from rubber, foam, plastic, cork, and more at greater precision.
