What Sets Viton® GF Gaskets Apart
The "GF" designation refers to the F-type fluoroelastomer family, which achieves 70% fluorine content, the highest standard Viton® grade. That higher fluorine content is what allows these gaskets to resist a broader range of aggressive fluids and chemicals than Viton® A (66% fluorine) or Viton® B (68% fluorine) can handle. Viton® GF is also peroxide-cured rather than bisphenol-cured, which expands its compatibility with certain media, such as some acids, hot water, and steam, where standard Viton® grades fall short.
Viton® GF gasket specifications:
- Durometer: 75 Shore A (+/- 5)
- Tensile strength: 2,000 PSI
- Temperature range: -20°F to 450°F continuous
- Fluorine content: 70% (F-type)
- Material: 100% virgin Chemours Viton® GF, USA-made
- Thickness: Customizable to your print
These numbers are a general guide and are subject to change at any time. Our team offers materials to meet any project. If you have special requirements for things like color, tensile, temperature, durometer, etc, please reach out to our team. Just because material listed doesn’t meet your spec does not meet it is not available.
Properties and application parameters shown throughout this datasheet are typical. Your specific application should not be undertaken without independent study and evaluation for suitability. For specific application recommendations consult Blaylock Gasket. Failure to select proper sealing products could result in property damage and/or serious personal injury.

Industries That Rely on Premium Viton® GF Gaskets
When your process environment pushes the limits of conventional elastomers, these are the industries where Blaylock's Premium Viton® GF gaskets consistently deliver:
- Chemical Processing: The expanded chemical resistance of F-type Viton® makes these gaskets well-suited for aggressive process fluids, blended chemicals, and corrosive media that would compromise standard FKM gaskets.
- Oil & Gas: Oxygenated fuels, blended lubricants, and high-temperature downhole environments are exactly the conditions Viton® GF was designed for. These gaskets maintain sealing integrity where standard grades experience permeation and swell.
- Automotive: Modern fuel formulations, engine oils, and transmission fluids place increasing demands on sealing materials. Viton® GF gaskets handle the chemical complexity of today's automotive fluids with low permeation and strong compression set resistance.
- Pharmaceuticals: Where process purity and chemical compatibility are both critical, Viton® GF provides a stable, non-contaminating seal backed by material traceability from 100% virgin Chemours stock.
Custom Fabrication, All In-House
As a premium Viton® GF gasket supplier, Blaylock fabricates every part ourselves; no outsourcing, no middlemen, no surprises. Our in-house capabilities give you flexibility and speed regardless of the complexity of your requirement:
- Die Cutting: Economical and highly repeatable for production volumes. Consistent part-to-part accuracy job after job.
- CNC Flash Cutting: Ideal for complex geometries, tight tolerances, and prototype runs without hard tooling costs.
- Waterjet: Clean, precise cuts on demanding profiles and thicker configurations.
