WHAT IS VEGGIE FIBER?
Vegetable fiber gasketing, sometimes referred to as “Detroiter” , is a protein glycerin treated fibre-sheet, offering excellent general purpose gasketing.
WHY DO PEOPLE CHOOSE VEGGIE FIBER GASKETS?
Vegetable fiber is readily available in a wide variety of thicknesses, extremely economical and commonplace (You might fine small sheets down at your local auto parts store). Many end users need the UL Rating, and Blaylock’s veggie fiber meets SAE, ASTM, federal and military specifications.
WHERE IS VEGGIE FIBER USED?
Vegetable fiber is used in oil refineries, most oil and grease applications, industrial pipe manufacturing, marine environments, agriculture and more.
WHAT TYPES OF VEGGIE FIBER DOES BLAYLOCK OFFER?
Our most popular choice is our commercial grade Detroiter, available with optional UL branding. However, Blaylock also offers brand name veggie fibers that may be spec’d in by engineers.
